About Us

It has become obvious that the fast-economic development and population growth, along with the rapid over use of fossil resources and the associated environmental issues, have intensified the worldwide interest in seeking renewable resources for energy, chemicals and materials, which has catalyzed the emergence of the bio-economy. Over the past years, great attention has been paid to develop innovative bio-refinery technologies to produce fuels, chemicals, and materials from renewable resources.

Our Mission

Great Lakes Miscanthus (GLM) has a mission. We are going to help make a slightly better world, than it was when we started.

Our Goal

Create a  purpose grown non-food feedstock the has more value then traditional biomass feedstock's, while providing a fair profit for all the growers involved in our organization.

Our Team

These are lofty aspirations, yes, but in order to have a better world we needed a better team. Not an ordinary team. A better team. Because you cannot make a better product with an average team.

Our team consists of:

  • seasoned farmers, along with agricultural representatives capable of assisting farmers with the scientific method to produce ever better yields on the same land,

  • mechanical designers to envision and implement equipment needed to achieve our goal,

  • experienced researchers and scientists to apply their expertise to find new more efficient ways to maintain miscanthus,

  • support personnel capable of assisting the team to achieve the goal of creating better products,

  • visionary investors that can see past the initial investment to see a better future.
